Amsterdam Metro System
Amsterdam metro system is a combination of both underground under ground metro and
the train system. This system was started in 1977 and currently it consists
of four lines. There are 52 stations included to this Amsterdam Metro System.
Unlike metro networks of the other countries, Amsterdam metro system is mostly
above the ground. So you can get a good view of the city from there. The central
station is the main station in the city.
Amsterdam Metro System Tickets:
Metro system tickets can be interchange with other mods of transportation
such as buses and trams. These tickets are called "strippenkaart". Ticket
validating machines are available in the stations and note that ticket checkers
also comes and check your tickets while riding.
