Taxi Service in Bangkok
There are plenty of taxies available in Bangkok and the cost is reasonably ok. Always try to get official taxies
which are equipped with meters. Those will mention the word "TAXI METER" on the roof. Any way you need to check the meter is reset also. If the driver is refusing to do so, no problem you can get down and get a another one. Flag down charge is around 35 Bart for the distance less than 2 km. Additional charges may apply for express ways and toll ways. There are some taxi ranks also available in the city.
Some times the driver may suggest you to visit various places, and its advisable not to go
unless you are very familiar about the city. Its always recommended to carry the business card of your hotel or the relevant destination place you are traveling.
