Temple of Heaven, Beijing
Beijing Temple of Heaven was constructed in 15th century and occupying
an area of 273 hectares. This was used as a temple during the Ming and
Qing dynasties.
You will find three main building in the Temple of Heaven. Those are the
hall of Prayer for Good Harvest, the Imperial Vault of Heaven and the Circular
Mound Altar. The emperor used the hall of Prayer for Good Harvest to pray the
goad for better weather and good harvest.
The Temple of Heaven was identified as a UNESCO Heritage site and now it became
a popular attraction among tourists and locals.
