  Berlin Botanical Gardens is the oldest botanical garden in Germany and
spread through 43 hectares of area,
This is the home for more than 20000 types of plants. History of this
botanical garden runs up to 7th century and this was a garden with
medicinal plants and vegetables and belonged to the Royal Palace in
the Lustgarten. This was transferred to Dahlem in end of 19th century.
major contribution to the development of this was done by botanist Adolf Engler.
  Guests can visit green houses, botanical museum and the library attached to the
garden. Glass houses occupied more than 6000 square meters and cactus Pavillon
and the Pavilion Victoria are not to be missed.
  Berlin Botanical Gardens is a popular place to relax and spent time
with mother nature. You will find a garden restaurant, where you and your
family can have some food and drink.
