Kollwitzplatz Park was named after the painter and graphic artist Käthe Kollwitz, a
copy of her work “Maternal love” and a statue of her seated in the park.
In early days this is a secret meeting place for artist and radicals who were
under the communist rule. But with the end of cold war, Kollwitzplatz became
a place to relax and meeting place for citizens. Kids can ply in the playground
