Berlin Public Transport Fares, Tickets and Zones

  Berlin Public Transport Fares depends on the zone you are traveling. Berlin has three fare zones call A,B and C. The zone A is encompasses the city center. This area is mainly served by S-Bahn system. The city limits ends defined by Zone B. Zone C is outer Berlin city limits and includes surrounding area. Most of the tourist attraction are with in zone A & B.

  There are several kinds of tickets available for Berlin public transportation. So you can select them according to your requirement. Ticketing machines are available from station ticketing machines. Tickets are available in Zone AB, BC or ABC basis. Reduced rates applicable for the children between 6-13 years. Children under 6 years can travel free of charge.



  You need to validate your ticket before the first ride. Some times there will be spot checks done by transport offices.

Berlin welcome Card:
  Berlin welcome cards are a better option for travel. This include unlimited public transportation in Zone A, B & C. Cards are available in 48 hours or 72 hours basis.

  Berlin welcome Card comes with a voucher booklet, which gives discount to many events and attractions. Some times you will get up to 50% of discounts for some selected attractions.
