Palacio Barolo
Palacio Barolo is a monumental building, constructed in early 1923. This building
consists of 22 floors
and 100m in height. Construction of this building was a idea of "Luis Barolo", who
came from Italy and started cotton fabric industry. The architectural design of
this building was from a Italian architect Mario Palanti.
The reason for building this is to tribute to Dante’s Divine Comedy'. In the
original design, the first two floors were representing the "hell", and next set of
14 floors were representing ‘Purgatory'. The top most floors were
representing the heaven.
