This Australian War
memorial was open in year 1941 and displays large number of exhibits related to
World war. This is located at the parliamentary triangle and remembers the
Australians who died in war time.

Lake
Burley Griffin
This lake was
constructed in 1963 and named after American architect Walter Burley Griffin,
Who did the design of the city. Lake Burley Griffin was build by making a dam
via Molonglo River. Visitors can do number of lake side activities like
jogging, cycling, fishing and walking. You can hire boats also from here.
Captain cook memorial water jet was build in year 1970 and operates in day
time. This throws water up to 150 m towards air.
Old
Parliament House
This building, which
was used as the Australian parliament from year 1927 to 1988 is located between
lake Burley Griffin and the parliament. There are number of interesting things
to see inside and its possible to arrange guided tours also.
