Dubai is one of the seven members of the United Arabs Emirates ( UAE) and consider as a commercial center. This city is also the second largest in UAE. The city of Dubai has gone through tremendous development and changes in last few decadesand now one of the major tourist destination and a business hub in the region. Dubai offers something for everyone.

Dubai is located between Mesopotamia and Indus Valley, which is one of the oldest trading route. In year 1820 Dubai rules signed “General Maritime Treaty” which was sponsored by the British. Dubai became a complete independent in year 1971. Current trend of development of Dubai started in 1960's & the population also started increasing.



The city of Dubai has number of tourist attractions including luxury accommodation such as 7 star hotels, shopping malls & festivals, night clubs, theme parks, desert tours and many more. The Dubai Desert Golf Classic, Dubai Tennis Open, Dubai horse racing are the popular sports attractions.

Dubai is a shoppers paradise. Visitors can do shopping from designer fashions to latest electronic goods in very attractive prices. Dubai Shopping festival ( DSF) and Dubai summer Surprises are two popular annual events. There are number of places in Dubai where visitors can experience high class shopping and Dubai is famous as for its gold shops also.

Temperatures rising to 41C in the summer month and its advisable to stay in air condition areas in summer time. Best Time to visit Dubai is during the winder period when the city experience the cold temperatures.

One reason behind the success of Dubai is strategic location, mid way between far east and Europe. This results Dubai to connect with 120 shipping lines and more than 100 air lines. Now most of the multinational companies tend to open their regional office in Dubai also. Dubai International Airport is the busiest in the region.

One of the threats to the Dubai economy and the tourism is the regional instability. But still we can't see any direct impact from that.
