Tips for Hong Kong
If you are buying goods
with a guarantee and planning bring out side Hong Kong, ask for the
international guarantee. Some times sellers doesn't handle the fault product
which are in the guarantee period, you many need to contact the customer
service at the manufacturer. Please note that some cheap products doesn't carry
the guarantee. Buying goods from places recommended by Hong Kong Tourist
Association is advisable.

Always visit more than one place when you do shopping in Hong Kong and compare
the prices before you buy. Usually you can't do any bargain in places like
department stores and retailers, but applicable for other types of shops. Some
times you get discounts when you are paying by cash. When you are paying from
the credit card, always check the bill and the slip before signing. Always
check the product before paying and make sure all the accessories are included.
Some parallel Imports, i.e. imported by other than the official importer are
goes for cheap, but with less or no guarantee.

popular & world class department stores are located in Hong Kong. If you are
interesting about Japanese, SOGO, Seibu or Mitsukoshi are the places to visit.
Like to some stuff from British chain, store such as Marks & Spencer & British
High Street there. Chinese department stores are attract lot of crowd and
consider as quite cheap.
