Madrid Barajas airport is located 13 km to the northeast of the Madrid city and consist of
4 terminals. The forth terminal was opened in year 2006 and this made the airport
capacity double. Moving walkways connects the terminals and free transfer bus also available. This is a non smoking airport and smoking is allowed only in designated areas. This is the busiest airport in Spain and handles 40 million passengers in each year.
Airport facilities includes dining, bank and ATM, money exchange, shopping, Post office, Chapel, Business center and health facilities.
Secure lockers costs around € 2.75 per day and rates may vary depending on the period.

Transport Facilities:
Madrid airport has convenient parking places and car renting facilities also available.
Airport busses connects the arrival halls and the city center and leaves in every 15 minutes. This Madrid airport bus service is available from 04.45 am to 02.00 am and fare will be around €2.40. Additional charges may apply for the baggage exceeding two pieces.
Metro subway system also connect the Madrid airport with the city.
Its always recommended to use official taxis, which are parked out side the each terminal and you can visit the city center by 30 minutes. The taxi fair will be around €15-€20.
