Puerta de Alcalá- Alcalá Gate:
This wad made to order for Carlos III and design was done by Francisco Sabatini. This is the entrance for the court way and comprises of five gateways. The nearest railway station is Recoletos and metro is Retiro.

Royal Palace (Palacio Real)
Location: Calle de Bailén
This palace was constructed in 18th centaury and was the residence of the Royal family until year 1931. Currently this is used by king for official purposes. Only the guided tours are allowed here because of the security reasons.
Nearest metro is Opera and opened Monday to Saturday - 09:30 to 17:30, Sunday and public holidays - 09:00 to 14:00, closed for official functions.

Neptune's Fountain (Fuente de Neptuno)
Location: Plaza de Cánovas del Castillo
This depicts King of the sea, transported in a carriage by two horses. Nearest metro is Banco de España
