Moscow Public Holidays, Russia
Moscow has nine public holidays. Most of the city offices and some
of the shops kept on close on these days. Some of the holiday events are celebrated
in grand and colorful scale.
If the holiday falls during the week end, the following Monday will be a
holiday. Christmas is celebrated in seventh of January and this is because Russian
church follows old style Julian Calendar.
