Seoul Buses, Korea
The city of Seoul has a good bus system, they covers the areas which are not possible to reach from the subway system.
This Bus system is redefined in year 2004 and now its simplified
and easily to understand. Buses are easily identified with the 4 different color codes, blue, green, red or yellow.
Seoul Buses operates from 5.30 am to midnight, there are few late night services also. Some Seoul bus drivers understand English, but most of the buses has their destination written in
English.
Seoul Bus Types:
There are few types of buses available in Seoul.
Blue Buses: Theses buses are painted with blue color and designated with letter "B".
These buses covers major roads between down town of the city and the neighing cities.
Green Buses: These buses are painted with Green color and designated with letter "G".
Green buses connects the subways within the district and travel along the district neighborhoods.
Red Buses: These buses are painted with Red color and designated with letter "R".
Red buses are outer suburb buses and the bus fare costs more. Those consider as intercity buses and stops only at designated bus stops.
Yellow Buses: These buses are painted with Yellow color and designated with letter "Y".
The Seoul yellow buses are short-haul buses and those move around the small districts. They mostly covers the areas where more tourist are attracted, major railway stations and
shopping areas.
If you are coming from the Incheon Airport, there is a good bus service from there to the Seoul city center.

Zone 1: Dobong-gu, Gangbuk-gu, Seongbuk-gu, Nowon-gu
Zone 2: Dongdaemun-gu, Jungnang-gu, Seongdong-gu, Gwangjin-gu
Zone 3: Gangdong-gu, Songpa-gu
Zone 4: Seocho-gu, Gangnam-gu
Zone 5: Dongjak-gu, Gwanak-gu, Geumcheon-gu
Zone 6: Gangseo-gu, Yangcheon-gu, Guro-gu, Yeongdeungpo-gu
Zone 7: Eunpyeong-gu, Mapo-gu, Seodaemun-gu

Blue Buses:
Identified with 3 digits.
Format: Departure District ID + Destination District ID+ Bus ID Number ( from 0 to 9)
Green Buses:
Identified with 4 digits.
Format: Departure District ID + Destination District ID+ Bus ID Number ( from 00 to 99)
Red Buses:
Identified with 4 digits.
Format: 9 + Departure District ID+ Bus ID Number ( from 00 to 99)
The Number 9 means this bus serves suburban areas.
Yellow Buses:
Identified with 2 digits.
Format: Bus Circles District Area + Bus ID Number ( from 0 to 9)
