Seoul Subway, Korea
Traveling in subway is the quickest and efficient way of transportation in Seoul and there is no disturbance from city traffic.
There are several lines in this system and best way is to find the line map.
Those maps are available in English also. Printed copy of maps are available in subway stations close to ticketing counters.
Please note that subway network get crowded in rush hours.
Seoul subway system starts the operation around 5.30 and and in operation until mod night.
Seoul Subway Lines:
OThere are 13 lines in the Seoul subway system. They name as line 1 to 9, Bundang Line, Incheon Line, Jungang Line, Gyeongui Line and the Airport line. There is a separate line for
transfers. Each line has a separate color code so can be easily identified.

If you are new to Seoul subway system, please make sure that you are traveling in the correct line( color) and the direction. Same time you may have to get down from one station and
move in to the another line. Some times you may have to visit some distance to get into the next line.
The current station name is announce in both the languages bytthe compartment speakers in each stop.
Seoul Subway Tickets:
You can purchase subway tickets from he ticketing counters or from the vending machines. Those machines accepts coins and some machines accept notes also. If you are staying
longer period of time, you can buy debt card tickets. The fees for each trip will be deducted automatically at the end of the trip.
