Shanghai Neighborhoods
Shanghai is a largest & highly populated city in China.
Shanghai city center is divided into two main areas by the Huang Pu River.
The western town is call Pu XI and Eastern Town is call Pu Dong.
Visitors may notice that Pu Xi area more into old Shanghai days and Pu Dong
has more modern sky-rise architectural development.

The Bund area has colonial style buildings and more close to the water front.
You can see row of colonial buildings in here and the area went through some
renovations in recent times and still keep the old day look.
Locals and tourists used to visit the Bund area in the evening and stay by the waterfront
and spend the time relaxing. In the morning time, you can see people come to
this area for exercise . There are enough dining options around the Bund area.
French Concession Area has many tree lined streets and old type of villas. This was known
as the little Paris in the China. The French law was enforced in this area before the
Revolution taken place. Now this area is mainly attracted by the visitors, who want to do
shopping.
Pu Dong and outer Districts
Up to the recent times, Pu Dong was not so develop area, consists of mainly some
farm lands. The major development of this new city area was started in
early 1990's. Today there are are many high rise building are added to the
Pu Dong Sky line.
