Shanghai Maglev High Speed Train
Shanghai Maglev High Speed Train operates in between the
Shanghai's Pudong International Airport and the Shanghai's Longyang metro station.
This considers as the first commercial launch of the magnetic levitation train.
Construction of the Shanghai Maglev Line was started in year 2001 and
completed in year 2004. The idea behind was to have a quick access to the airport
from the normal subway system.
Maglev train can speeds of up to 431 kilometers per hour. This service operates
in 15 minutes interval between 6.45 am to 5.00 pm and 20 minutes interval
until 9.40 pm. The maximum speed of 431 km/h achieved during 9.00 am to 10.45 am
and 1.00 pm to 16.45 pm
