Taipei Buses
City of Taipei has a very good bus transport network. This is the the cheapest way of
transportation, other than the metro system. This bus network is operated by several bus
companies.
Taipei Main Bus Station:
All the main Taipei bus routes are started from Taipei main bus station. This is a multi story building
located in next to the Taipei Main Station. The ground
floor is has ticketing counters and bus informations displays. There are upper floors dedicated for
waiting rooms. This has some underground floors also.
Taiwan buses are air conditioned and they are very comfortable also. Usually Taipei buses
are get crowded in rush hours ( from 7.00 am to 9.30 am and from 5.00 om to 7.00 pm)
Most of the buses mentioned their destination or the route also in English signs. If you are
coming out form the MRT stations, they have maps marked with nearby bus station
locations. If you have Easy Cards, you can use it for traveling in both bus and subway system.
