Taipei Taxis
Taxis are the most flexible way in traveling in Taipei and the rest of the Taiwan.
One of the difficulty you faces when traveling by a taxi in Taipei is the driver may not
be able to communicate in English. So it is always advisable to carry your hotel card printed on Chinese language.
Taipei taxis are equip with meters. It starts with a fix charge and full charge vary depends on the distance you travel.
If you are traveling in day time, basic charged for first 1.5 km will
be $70, and it will be $5 for every 300 m. In night time its $70 for first 1.25 m and it $5 for every 250m.
Please note that these charges may subjected to change with time. Additional charging applied for
calling and booking a taxi and luggage.
Geting a Taxi from Taiwan Taoyuan Airport:
If you are coming from Taiwan Taoyuan International Airport , you can easily get a taxi out side the
terminal buildings. For Terminal one taxis information, you can contact +03-398-2832
Terminal Two information can get by calling +03-398-3599.
Calling a Taxi in Taipei:
You can use the toll fee number 0800-055-850 to book a taxi. If you have a mobile phone
use the number 55850 and this call will be charged. Then you can enter the
preferred taxi fleet operator code.
