Capilano Suspension Bridge & Park
  Capilano Suspension Bridge is one of the oldest tourist attraction in Vancouver. This 450 feet long bridge,
which was originally build in 1889, attracts nearly one million visitors annually. You can grip the rope and look
down to the Capilano river. If you are afraid of heights, don't look down.
Visitors can see and enjoy untouched, living west Coast rain forest. There are many educational things such as
identifying the trees. There is a 200 foot water fall below over there.
Capilano Suspension Bridge & Park has around 25 authentic totem poles displayed in Totem Park.
The Mary Capilano, the Human Peace Pole, the Salmon Creek Pole, Wolf Guardian Pole are famous among them.
There are restaurants, gifts shops and Carving center also there to visit. There are several guided
tours available around this attraction.
Treetop adventure is another popular activity in Capilano Suspension Bridge & Park. There are seven
suspension bridges over forest bed connecting via trees gives you squirrel's view of the forest.
Directions for Capilano Suspension Bridge:
Capilano Suspension Bridge is located 230 feet above the Capilano River. It will take 10 minutes from downtown Vancouver
through Stanly Park and over a Lions gate Bridge.
If you are coming from Downtown, take bus number 246 heading to west on Georgia Street. You have to disembarked at
Ridgewood Drive and Capilano road. Ned to walk on Capilano Road. Another option is 236 from Lonsdale Quay Sea
Bus terminal. If you are coming by car take Highway 99 north across Lions Gate Bridge to exit #14 on Capilano Rd.
