Vienna Districts and Postal Codes
Vienna is consist of 23 districts ( call Bezirke). Those districts have their own name and a number. District number one to 10 are consider as city center.
Vienna postal codes are the four digit numbers, always starting with 1. Other digit have
a relation to the district codes. For example, postal code of sixth district is 1060, where
6 mean the district code. 23rd District is 1230.
In yearly days the city of Vienna was located in the current first district, but later on the city boundary walls were demolished the surrounding parts also became districts
of Vienna.
