Public Transportation in Zurich, Switzerland
The city of Zurich has very good transportation system. This consists of trains, trams, busses and taxi services. This system is under operation from 5.30 am to mid night and there are some night services also.
Zurich has very rich tram line network spread through out the city center. S-Bahn rain network connects the city with the suburb area.
You need to have a valid ticket to travel in public transport system and tickets can be purchased from ticketing booths and stops. Ticket booth ( Ticketeria) of main rail station ( Hauptbahnhof ) is open from morning to 7.00 pm.
